The Construction of Kanilela
David Bell ordered the hull only from Cruising Yacht Co. who had a yard set up at Port Kells on the Fraser River. David did not want their bulkhead / cabin layout and wanted more headroom so he did not get the complete package. With his brother Tim and father David Sr., both shipwrights by trade, he had the resources available to produce a quality product.
